Internet Seminar on Evolution Equations (TUD)

Vak
2015-2016

As in previous years, it is likely that there will be the possibility to participate in an international functional analysis oriented lecture course on a graduate level, the so-called `Internet Seminar on Evolution Equations’, where lecture notes and assignments are distributed via the web. It has a study phase from October-February, a project preparation phase from April-May and a workshop in June where the projects are presented, usually in Blaubeuren (Germany). For more information and registration see the website. A local group will be launched in Delft and meet regularly to discuss the material and the exercises. Leiden participants are welcome to join this group.

Board in Blaubeuren
Is usually fully covered for the participants by a sponsor, but this is not yet certain at the closing of this guide.

Travel expenses
Partial support in travel expenses by the Leiden Mathematical Institute is likely to be possible.

Leiden contact
Dr. Marcel de Jeu

Prerequisites
See the website above.

Assessment
The grade is assigned by the Delft faculty. It is based on the participation in the weekly meetings in Delft, the solutions to the weekly exercises, the preparation of a project in an international team, and the presentation of this project during the final workshop.
