Music: Introduction to musical signal processing

Description:

Signal processing is discussed within the framework of compositional strategies and musical needs rather than from a technical (DSP) viewpoint. The course contains an historical survey of topics concerning computer music. Next, synthesis processes are described looking at MaxMSP.

Teaching method:

Lecture and seminar.

Time table:

First and second term.Thursday 13.00 – 15.00 hours, computer room. Course takes place at the Royal Conservatory, Juliana van Stolberglaan 1, Den Haag (near The Hague Central Station ).
