Archaeology: Archaeology of the Caribbean and Amazonia, 2010-2011
This is a specialisation of the master programme of Archaeology.
Teaching is inspired by ongoing research projects based on excavations and surveys in the Carribbean area and analysis of material remains. The main focus of the programme is on issues of settlement archaeology as well as human mobility and the exchange of goods and ideas in the circum-Caribbean region. A prime characteristic of the study is its multi-disciplinary perspective (archaeology, biological anthropology, archaeometry, ethnohistory and athnoarchaeology).
