ICT in Business and the Public Sector, 2017-2018

The curriculum depends on the student’s background. Students with a Leiden University bachelor in Computer Science, specialization “Informatica & Economie” follow an alternative curriculum (see OeR). All the other students follow the main curriculum (see below).

Eerste jaar

The Master ICT in Business and the Public Sector offers two specialisations: ICT in Business of ICT in the Public Sector. Students have to choose one of the specialisations at the end of the first semester: a set of 18 ec ICTiB courses or a set of 18 ICTitPS courses.

Tweede jaar

From September 2017 and on the Master ICT in Business and the Public Sector offers two specialisations: ICT in Business of ICT in the Public Sector. The second year ICTitPS courses will be organized for the first time in September 2018. Complete curriculum can be found in the OER. (link naar OER, maar die is nog niet gepubliceerd…)

In the second year, students have to choose electives (9ec in total). Electives (master level!) can be taken everywhere as long as the Examination Board gives permission beforehand.

Post Experience

Persons who have acquired a Bachelor ICT degree and at least three years of working experience, can join the Master of Science programme ICT in Business. This programme is developed especially for those students who can not participate in daytime courses; most of the courses will take place in the evenings. The programme strongly appeals to self-efficacy.

This programme offers various specialisation courses. Whether a specialisation course will take place or not, depends upon the number of participants.
